Our concert headliner will be the winner of last year's Statewide Talent Search, Celine Simeone. Top entries in this year's Talent Search will also perform.
Talent Search
Prime Time encourages the musically talented youth of New Mexico to audition for our Youth Concert. We will conduct a talent search throughout the state. Our judges will be looking for the best in the categories of singing, dance, and instrumentals, individual and groups. The winners will open at the NMYD concert. Click here to see the event poster.
3-on-3 Basketball Tournament
D.K. Hoopsters will host a 3-on-3 basketball tournament on New Mexico Youth Day. This event allows the youth in New Mexico to showcase their athletic skills and sportsmanship. We'll also have a slam-dunk competition, 3-point shoot out, and much more for the whole family to enjoy.
Ages 6-21 are welcome. Players who aren't in school must provide proof of high school graduation or GED.
Kiddie Olympics
The Kiddie Olympics is an event that your entire family will enjoy – there will be something for everyone! This year there will also be swimming events at the Rio Grande Pool. All contestants will receive a gold, silver or bronze medal for their participation. This fun-filled event will provide you with memories that you will cherish forever.
Skateboard Competition
The skateboard competition is hosted by Westside Skate Shop. Prime Time is really blessed to have the shop put on the New Mexico Youth Day skateboard competitions over the last three years. Thank you Gabe and the crew, we love you all!
Aquatic Competition and Fun & Games
Tne Bernalillo County Parks and Recreation Department will host a swimming competition, and there will be free swimming for kids from 10:00 am-4:30 pm on Youth Day at the Rio Grande Pool. Prime Time For the Kids will give awards in the competition.
Car Show
Tne Empire Car Club will strut their stuff in a car show at Rio Bravo Skate Park. Click here to see the event poster.
